Earlier this year my mom called me and said "You are going to school in Durango" and I really didn't want to because I lived in California at the time and had my friends there. She explained to me how great of a school Animas was and how much fun I would have. Eventually I accepted that I was going there and told my friends I was moving. I didn't really chose Animas my mom kind of did and she picked it because she didn't want me going to a huge public school that had 500-700 students and the teachers didn't care about their students. Animas is a small school and the teachers can talk and work with the students. I feel like teachers at Animas care about the quality of our work and care about us as humans. That's how Animas became my Highschool.
